Spotlight on... Kellie Fisher

This is the next installment in a series of blog posts to help you get acquainted with some of the people who work in the library. Today we introduce you to one of our student workers.

What is your name?  Kellie Fisher

What is your major?  Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology

What do you do in the library?  I work in the Acquisitions department on the second floor.  My responsibilities include handling all incoming periodicals, sorting and delivering mail, answering questions, and performing miscellaneous tasks as needed.

What do you enjoy most about your job?   I really enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. I have always loved libraries, and working at the library is a nice break from the stress of classes. It also provides a flexible schedule so that I can keep up with my school work and participate in other programs and activities.

What’s the best class you’ve taken at BU?   My favorite classes so far have been Comp 1 with Professor Stuart and Intro to Audiology with Dr. Zalewski.

What else do you want people to know about you?   Besides working at the library, I am a member of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association and the Presidential Leadership Program, which provides a variety of wonderful educational, networking, social, and volunteer opportunities.
